About Megan
If you’re here because your marketing feels like you’re trying to be everywhere, all the time… welcome.
You’re in the right place.
I help business owners stop doing the marketing equivalent of sprinting on a treadmill while juggling flaming torches. (Impressive? Sure. Effective? Nope.)
My thing is clarity.
Not the “download this 47-page workbook” kind. The real kind:
What do you actually want to be known for?
Who are you really trying to reach?
And what’s the smallest, smartest set of actions that will actually move the needle?
Because trend-chasing is exhausting. And also… expensive.
The moment I realized marketing didn’t have to feel like chaos
I’ve spent years inside businesses watching what happens when marketing gets treated like “a bunch of tasks” instead of a strategy.
That’s when you get:
12 platforms
0 consistency
400 half-finished ideas
and a team quietly dying inside
So I built my work around a simple statement:
Do Less, Better.
The receipts (because yes, I’ve done this professionally)
Before I started doing this for myself, I did it for brands and organizations across Manitoba.
I’ve worked as:
Brand Manager at Bothwell Cheese
Marketing Manager at WM. Dyck & Sons
Marketing Manager for non-profit associations like On Screen Manitoba and Food & Beverage Manitoba
I also work hands-on with small rural local businesses through the Community Futures Marketing Grant program—helping owners who don’t have massive teams or budgets.
This mix has been… honestly perfect.
Corporate taught me how to build brands with a backbone.
Local business taught me how to make strategy practical, fast, and human.
How I work (and why people hire me)
I’m not here to make you “post more.”
I’m here to help you:
get crystal clear on what to say
simplify where you show up
build marketing touchpoints that actually do their job
and make your marketing feel aligned instead of icky
Also: I embrace AI like it’s my weird little productivity pet.
Not because I want robots writing your whole brand voice (absolutely not), but because AI can save you ridiculous time and money when it’s used properly—especially when your strategy is clear.
Efficiency is kind of my love language.
A few things you should probably know about me
I live to eat. I don’t eat to live. That’s not a lifestyle. That’s a punishment.
I love animals—so much that I don’t eat anything that can smile at me. (Yes, we can debate what counts as smiling. No, I will not be swayed by bacon.)
I can’t work without music on.
If the house is silent, something has gone terribly wrong. I’m probably spiraling. Put on a playlist.
I LOVE thrifting. Like… genuinely feral about it. What will I find? What can I repurpose? What brand-name clothes will I score for my kids for under $5? It’s the thrill of the hunt—and honestly, it’s one of the best ways to explore communities across Manitoba.
Insider thrifting tip: I always find the best treasures at the Altona MCC and The Village Connection in St. Pierre Jolys.
I’m also deeply obsessed with my town: Niverville, MB, Canada. We live on the BEST street in town - Cobblestone Court.
Bonfires. Driveway pickleball. Garage ping pong. Lawn games. Chaos. Community. The whole vibe.
I’ve got two kiddos and a husband who also runs his own business—he’s a writing coach and runs an incredible community for creatives. So yes, our household is basically: ideas + coffee + deadlines + someone always needing a charger.
If you’re a business owner who…
feels spread thin across platforms
is tired of trend-chasing
wants marketing that actually sounds like you
needs a clear plan and real support to follow through
…then you’re my people.
Let’s cut the crap, simplify the strategy, and build something that feels like you.
